Brunelli Brunello di Montalcino

Availability: In stock

Aromas of black cherry skins, mineral earth, and serious floral notes on top and a suggestion of spearmint. The palate is finessed, with great strength underneath, showing elegant red cherry and raspberry, with Asian spice, and fine texture. Notes of charred earth accent the structure, which is complete and balanced. The finish has good length and a fine grained grip. There is a depth to this wine that draws you in to focus your attention. No riserva was made in 2009, so all of the Brunello grape production went into this wine, and it shows.

More information:

Mauro Brunelli and Anna Savini, owners of the Brunelli Estate, both come from farming families who have always lived in Montalcino. Their families abandoned the cultivation of land at the end of the Sixties to dedicate themselves to other activities, as many locals did. In 1964, the Brunelli family moved to Martoccia a small farm of about three hectares. In 1998, together with Luca, only child of Anna and Mauro, they bought more land where they planted vines.

Currently, the Brunelli Estate covers 15 hectares of land of which five are registered as Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. while olive groves and forest cover the remainder of the property. Their love of the land and respect for tradition daily nourish the enthusiasm of the Brunelli family who live and work in this field.
