One of the most traditionalist producers in Piemonte, Castello di Verduno is owned by husband and wife Franco
Bianco and Gabriella Burlotto, and consists of an incredible collection of vineyards in some of the best crus of the
Barolo and Barbaresco areas. All wines are fermented in open vats, and aged in big Slavonian oak casks, and the
Barolos and Barbarescos undergo a long maceration (25-30 days). All their wines are incredible expressions of the
different terroirs, and the key to achieve this is patience and the respect of the pace of each single vat, without
forcing or disturbing the natural balance of wines.
