- Bordeaux Blend
Château Bois-Martin is the second wine of Château Le Sartre, located in the Pessac-Leognan appellation in Bordeaux. The 9.4 hectare-vineyard of Château Bois Martin is situated near Domaine de Chevalier, Chateaux Malartic, La Graviere and Fieuzal. It was bought in 1996 by the Perrin family, who was already the owner of Château Carbonnieux (since 1956) and Château Le Sartre (since 1981).
Chateau Le Sartre was rediscovered in the 1980s and started to produce wines of better quality when Anthony Perrin purchased the estate, replanted the entire vineyard and invested in new winemaking installations. He also renovated the Chateau dating back to the 19th century. The 35-hectare vineyard is divided into two main plots: Chateau Le Sartre and Chateau Bois-Martin. Anthony Perrin’s sister Marie Jose Leriche took over the estate in 2005, before his death in 2008.
