Chateau Carbonnieux Blanc 2007

Availability: In stock

Pale yellow, with green hues. A distinctive, pure and vibrant nose, with aromas of citrus and exotic fruit. More complex touches of white peach and blackcurrant buds appear when the wine is swirled. The wine offers elegant woodiness, with hints of toast. The initial taste is very bold, acidulous and crisp, dominated by lime. The structure is fleshy and balanced, with the crispness of a young wine. Goes well with shellfish, seafood and smoked salmon.

More information:
Chateau Carbonnieux has a very long wine-making history that would go back as early as the 12th century. Then the Benedictine monks replanted and renovated the estate in the 18th century. They labelled it as “Carbonnieux Mineral Water” thanks to the very pale and clear colour of the white wine. After having passed through numerous owners, the estate was finally acquired in 1956 by Mark Perrin who undertook the renovation of the chateau. Today, it is managed by his son Antony. Château Carbonnieux was classified as a Grand Cru de Graves for the first time in 1953, for its red and white wines.
