Ciaran and Stephen, a couple of country boys who have had a constantly changing love affair with the fair city of Dublin for a couple of decades. In their minds, it has grown from the big city of their childhoods into a place that has made them feel more and more at home over the years. They have watched it become the vibrant, exciting, modern European capital city that it is now, always full of surprises, and with just as much exotic delight as local charm.
They are also lovers of gin, and for years, while getting on with their day jobs, they pootled around making their own gin-like concoctions (some delicious, some… less so) just for their own amusement. Before they even knew it, they had learned quite a bit about how to make a decent gin, and their pootling and learning were beginning to take them a very clear direction. They were designing a gin for the city they love.
They supply juniper and coriander seeds from the finest suppliers they could find, from sun-drenched lands that gives their gin the perfect foundation to build on. Their rhubarb, their pride and joy, is the all-Irish jewel in their crown, and, when combined with grapefruit peel, gives their gin zest, joie de vivre, that tart, fruity sharpness like the cheeky Dublin tongue.
They wanted to make a gin for Dublin that is as easy-going and full of life as the city that inspires it. The result is Dublin City Gin, a gin distilled in small batches with local and exotic botanicals.
