O Luar was born in the valley of the river Sil. Its rugged terrain and the slate soils have offered us a golden opportunity to pay homage to the lands of Galicia. Made entirely from Godello, it is a smooth, complex wine with aromas of green fruit and fresh, intense mineral flavours. The Atlantic freshness and minerality of a pure, well defined Godello, full of flavour.
After a long, temperate growing cycle, the grapes are harvested in the middle of September. After they have been destemmed, they undergo a cold maceration to obtain a maximum expression of fruit. They are then pressed at low pressure and the must is fermented at a controlled temperature for 14 days. After fermentation, the wine is kept on fine lees for 3 months to gain richness, body and aromatic potential by means of a gentle “batonnage”, after which it is naturally clarified.
