Pittnauer Zweigelt 'Heideboden'

Low intervention wine making gives a very vibrant and lively character to this wine which benefits from decanting. Bright cherry red with violet reflections. On the nose spicy aromas of cherry and plum. Juicy on the palate, elegant with spicy acidity and an animated finish.

Pairs well with winter stews such as goulash or with a variety of meat dishes. Zweigelt is the most popular red wine variety in Austria and originates from the crossing of St. Laurent with Blaufrankisch. It is characterised by its cherry fruit and a juicy, soft style.
