- 100% Pinot Noir
Domaine Ponsot was created in 1954 by Lucien Ponsot with just one small vineyard that was later developed and expanded by his son Bernard.
Grandson of the founder, Jean-Baptiste took the torch in 2000 at the age of 20. Upon his arrival, he planted land belonging to the estate and also rents additional plots of vines.
Today Jean-Baptiste Ponsot has 8.5 hectares of vines in the best hillsides of the Rully appellation including two-thirds 1er Cru vineyards.
In 2005 he built a new winery and a vault for the reception of guests.
Jean-Baptiste uses no herbicides and works the soil rigorously.
According to him, the quality of its wines is the result of meticulous work in the vineyards: control of yields, aeration of the grapes, size suitable for the plant. His primary concern is to produce beautiful grapes.
