Principiano 'Dosset' Dolcetto

Availability: In stock

An unusual character in the very provincial Piemonte, Ferdinando Principiano is a very open minded wine-makers. He left conventional farming and wine making only for a matter of taste rather than to follow a trend or a fashion. Unhappy with the direction his wines were taking because couldn't find in them any specific identity or sense of terroir, he started to follow more and more a non-interventional practice, both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

The Dosset, made with 100% Dolcetto grapes, is a ridiculously drinkable, refreshing low alcohol red (only 11%).  Serve ever so slightly chilled.

Despite being based in the village of Monforte, his vineyards are located mainly in the commune Serralunga, the terroir of Langhe that gives the most powerful and muscolar Nebbiolos of the region.
