- Pedro Ximénez
Bodegas Lustau enters the vermouth category with a unique product endorsed by the heritage behind the recipe and the brand’s reputation for quality.
Vermut Lustau originates in the wisdom and expertise of two old family traditions. The House of Lustau - artisanal winemakers for over a century - experts in creating enological gems, and the Caballero family - master blenders of crafted liquors since 1830 - who dominate the subtle art of aroma extraction and combination.
The expert eye of Manuel Lozano, Lustau’s enologist, is responsible for the selection of the base sherry wines- a sweet and velvety Pedro Ximenez and a dry and nutty Amontillado- aged separately in their own Soleras for 10 years. The combination of these wines, each with its flavors, aromas and traits, contributes to build the unique personality of this sherry vermouth.
Wormwood, gentian, coriander and orange peel aromas stand out among the array of fragrant plants, fruits and spices contained in this vermouth. Each botanical macerates separately for optimal aroma extraction. The master blender then expertly combines the botanicals to obtain a perfect blend.
