Mauro Brunelli and Anna Savini, owners of the Brunelli Estate, both come from farming families who have always lived in Montalcino. Their families abandoned the cultivation of land at the end of the Sixties to dedicate themselves to other activities, as many locals did. In 1964, the Brunelli family moved to Martoccia a small farm of about three hectares. In 1998, together with Luca, only child of Anna and Mauro, they bought more land where they planted vines.
Currently, the Brunelli Estate covers 15 hectares of land of which five are registered as Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. while olive groves and forest cover the remainder of the property. Their love of the land and respect for tradition daily nourish the enthusiasm of the Brunelli family who live and work in this field.
"Dark-skinned berry, underbrush and leather are some of the aromas you'll find in this juicy Brunello. The palate doles out fleshy black cherry, raspberry jam and clove flavors held together by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Enjoy 2018–2023." - 90 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
