Fernando and Alvaro van Zeller descend from an uninterrupted series of 14 consecutive generations devoted to Port and Douro wine trade since 1715, unprecedented in any other Portuguese family dynasty in the wine business. Following the sale of their Quinta do Noval estate in 1993, the brothers formed a new company bearing the name of their hereditary title in 1996.
