Situated north of Lyon and just south of Burgundy, Beaujolais has a long tradition of wine making and enjoys a warm borderline continental climate. This makes it the ideal region for generating the vibrant, ripe, fruit-driven Gamay wines which characterise the eponymous Beaujolais wines.
