Château Argadens Half Bottle

With its dark, almost black, garnet hue, Chateau Argadens is beautiful to behold. The nose offers an intense, complex array of aromas with toasty notes from the oak underpinning ripe fruit and spicy notes setting off the whole. An impressively ample palate, rich, with soft, elegant tannins and a very, very long finish - a very fine Bordeaux without any doubt.

"In St-André du Bois south east of Bordeaux overlooking the Garonne, owned by the Sichel family since 2002. 63% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. Bright deep crimson. Quite intense nose and impressive ripeness. Round with lots of fruit and pleasure but with the dry (not drying) finish that is typical of Bordeaux. Evidence of some good quality old oak on sweet fruit. Proper wine with some future." (2015 vintage) Jancis Robinson, 10 November 2018
