The Catalunya wine region is in the northeastern part of Spain, stretching nearly 400 km down the Mediterranean coast. The area itself has a long wine making tradition and is well known as the birthplace of Cava, the iconic sparkling wine.
Catalunya enjoys a huge diversity of terrain and climate from the warmer, coastal climate to the Pyrenees in the north and their cooler environment. In addition to Cava, Catalunya produces excellent, dry whites and reds of great power and finesse, all delightfully influenced by Mediterranean garrigue.
