German wine is primarily produced along the Rhine in the west of Germany. Dominated by elegant and aromatically pure Rieslings, Germany also produces a wide range of wine from dry, semi-sweet and sweet white wines and increasingly red wine from Pinot Noir, aka Spätburgunder.
