Sheltered by the highest peaks of the Vosges mountains, this terroir receives an exceptional amount of sunshine. Ripe black raspberry and wild cherry fruit flavors are set in a well-balanced, light- to medium-bodied frame, accented by abundant spice and floral notes. A lively red, with light tannins firming the finish.

Rene Mure Cote de Rouffach Pinot Noir

René Muré and his children Véronique and Thomas represent the 11th and 12th generations of winegrowers. The Muré family are winegrowers in the region of Rouffach since 1648.

Since 1999, the 28 hectares of the estate have been farmed organically with both biodynamic (Demeter) and organic (Ecocert) certification, demonstrating that no chemical or synthetic products are used. The extra care entailed in applying biodynamic practices throughout the vineyards (horn manure, horn silica, horsetail, compost etc.) contributes to healthy, well aerated soils, as well as to increased flora and fauna and the general well-being of the vines.
