LBV (late bottled vintage) is intended to provide some of the experience of drinking a vintage port but without the need for lengthy bottle aging. This LBV is a blend of full, rich and fruity wines from a single year specially chosen for ageing.

Dark red in colour with brown hues and a sweet smell of candied fruit. On the palate it has a creamy texture with hints of caramel and vanilla. It leaves a taste of sweet ripe fruit on the long finish. Serve with Gorgonzola, Roquefort, Stilton and old Cheddar.

With roots dating back to the 18th century, Barão de Vilar is one of the Douro Valley’s few remaining family-owned Port houses.
