Aromatised wine is a fortified wine that can be sweet or dry and red, white, pink or orange, is typically between 14.5% and 22% volume and has been flavoured with an infusion of herbs, peels and spices, and other natural flavourings including wormwood.
Vermouth is the most popular aromatised wine. The majority of originate in France and Italy but there are now a range of small 'craft' producers popping up around the world including the spectacular range of 'Vermut' from Lustau.
