Morgon Corcelette is a boutique vineyard on a mere 1 hectare of land, with vines that are an average of 70 years old. The wine is carefully aged Sur Lie and in oak barrels. The result is a stunning Cru du Beaujolais.
The Chasselay family has been working for almost 6 centuries (since 1464) on the lands of châtillon d’Azergues, in the south of the Beaujolais’ vineyards. Among the pioneers of organic agriculture in Beaujolais, their wines have been certified since 2006.
"Structured and firm, this wood-aged wine is richly fruity while also spicy. Its density, structure and ripeness are all in place, lifted by an edge of toastiness. The wine has further potential and will be ready from late 2021." 93 points (2018 vintage), Cellar Selection, Wine Enthusiast
