The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine sees 50 percent in new oak. A dark inky purple colour with notes of dark fruit and succulent blackcurrants. Medium weight with ripe silky tannins, juicy fruit and an iron-like tannic grip.
"Owned by the Tesseron family, this wine is smoky, ripe and full of tannins as well as blackberry fruit. Density gives it potential, and this wine from an estate that is performing well should be ready from 2024."94 points (vintage 2017), Wine Enthusiast.
"Aromas of smoke and tobacco with some currants, too. Medium body. Chewy tannins and an herb and berry aftertaste. Shows attractive fruit drive at the end." 91 points (vintage 2017), James Suckling.
