Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2015

When Anne-Claude Leflaive took the reins in 1990, she eschewed herbicides and chemical fertilizers and began experimenting with building healthy organic soil. She believed that biodynamic farming produced wines of greater complexity and purity, a sentiment that was supported by the winery’s growing fame. Today Domaine Leflaive is entirely biodynamic and includes ten hectares of premier crus and five hectares of grand crus. Consummately elegant, Domaine Leflaive wines reflect a long history of thoughtful innovation.

"Leflaive's 2015 Bourgogne Blanc is excellent and one of the finest generic bottlings to be found in the Cte de Beaune this year, offering up a note of fresh lemon, nutmeg and chamomile that is already quite expressive. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, sappy and ample, with impressive dimension and concentration for its level and a long, controlled finish. The balance here is excellent, and this outpaces plenty of villages level white Burgundies in this vintage." 89 points, Wine Advocate (February 2018).
