Cork Taint

Very occasionally a wine may suffer from the presence of Trichloroanisole, aka “cork taint.”  This is due to a faulty closure made from natural cork. A cork tainted wine will have an odour characteristic of mouldy newspaper, wet dog, damp cloth, or damp basement.  It won’t do you any harm but it won’t be very nice to drink. If you receive a wine you believe is tainted, please contact us within 3 days and we will replace it or offer a full refund. Please hang onto the bottle though as we will need for you to return the faulty wine to us.
