This Marsanne wine comes from vineyards grown on granitic soils, located around the village of Chavannay. The nose opens up with rich scents of acacia, honey and white peach. The palate is round and richly textured, lots of exotic fruit, pear and honeyed tropical fruit. The ending is fresh with elegant yeasty flavours lingering.
Although Marsanne is renowned for aging well, becoming deep golden in colour, with nutty, spicy, mineral aromas, this example is made to be drunk ‘sur le fruit’, i.e., when it is young and fresh.
Every wine in Mitchell & Son has been carefully selected, researched and taste tested by our team, so we stand behind each selection on our retail list. If you are not happy with a wine, a delivery, or any aspect of our service, please contact us and we will be only too happy to help you in any way we can.
