The Teeling Sommelier Selection - Douro Old Vines Casks Whiskey is a limited edition Irish whiskey that offers a unique twist on Teeling’s classic Small Batch blend. Teeling has replaced the rum casks typically used in their Small Batch blend with wine casks from around the world. For this edition, they used red wine barrels from the Portuguese Douro Valley. These barrels contained wine pressed from the harvest of vines that were over 25 years old.

Nose: Expect dried fruit, cinnamon, dark chocolate, and cherries.

Palate: Stewed plums, toffee apples, dry tannins, and mocha.

Finish: Fruity and spicy.

Located in the heart of the historic Liberties, against the backdrop of a city steeped in whiskey history, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery opened its doors in 2015 as the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years.
