Aged 10 Years
Limited Edition
46.0
To mark a century of excellence, Green Spot has released a very special 100 Year Anniversary Limited Edition Bottle– a 10 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey that honours the legacy of Mitchell & Son.
First advertised in The Irish Times 100 years ago in October 1925, Green Spot has since become a beloved icon of Irish whiskey, celebrated for its craftsmanship, character, and enduring quality.
This limited edition release revives the original 10-year age statement, showcasing the rich tradition of Single Pot Still Whiskey in all its depth and complexity.
Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, it offers layered aromas of floral honey, coffee cake, toffee, orchard fruits, and warming spices. On the palate, notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and dried fruits intertwine with sweet apple crumble and barley richness, leading to a long, lingering finish of pot still spice and orchard fruit.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this elevated strength helps to accentuate the deep and rich fruit notes.
Priced at €85, the Green Spot 100 Year Anniversary Edition is both a tribute to Ireland’s whiskey-bonding heritage and a vibrant expression for today’s whiskey enthusiast.
Established in 1805 on Grafton Street, Dublin, the Mitchell family began as purveyors of fine confectionery, wines, and fortified wines before moving into whiskey bonding. They became renowned for their distinctive “Spot” range, named after the colourful daubs of paint used to mark casks by age.
