Teeling Small batch is the first expression to be released by The Teeling Whiskey Company. It is their flagship blend, aged initially in ex-bourbon casks for an average of 6 years and finished for 6-9 months in Flor de Cana Rum casks from Nicaragua.
An inviting nose where vanilla and spice dances with bright sweet notes of Rum. While being very approachable, the influence of the rum cask and higher percentage alcohol creates a unique smooth, sweet, slightly woody marriage that sparkles on the tongue. Slightly moorish, sweet spice finish complemented by woody undertones.
This is a great entry level expression and has set the benchmark for the new Irish brands.
