A Wine Idea Selection – July 2026

Summer is in full swing, and the A Wine Idea Selection – July 2026 brings together four expressive wines chosen by Sevgi Tüzel-Conghaile in collaboration with Mitchell & Son Wine Merchants. This month's collection explores classic French regions through a fresh and approachable lens, with each wine offering a distinct expression of its origin and style.

The selection begins on the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast with Coste Ferré Provence Rosé. Delicately pale in colour and beautifully refreshing, it captures everything that has made Provence rosé a summer favourite, with bright red berry fruit, citrus freshness and a crisp, dry finish that's perfect for al fresco dining.

Travelling north to the Loire Valley, Domaine Grosbois Chinon "La Cuisine de ma Mère" showcases the elegance of Cabernet Franc. Fragrant and vibrant, it combines juicy red berry fruit with gentle herbal notes and silky tannins, creating a wonderfully versatile red that shines alongside charcuterie, roast poultry and seasonal dishes.

From the rugged hills of southern France comes Gérard Bertrand Fitou, a rich yet beautifully balanced blend that reflects the warmth and character of the Languedoc. Layers of ripe black fruits, Mediterranean herbs and subtle spice make this a satisfying red with plenty of personality, equally suited to grilled meats or slow-cooked dishes.

Completing the collection is Clarendelle Blanc, inspired by the great white wines of Bordeaux. Elegant and refined, it offers aromas of citrus, white peach and delicate floral notes, supported by a fresh, mineral palate that makes it equally enjoyable as an aperitif or paired with seafood and creamy cheeses.
