A beautifully crafted expression of Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir, drawn from one of Mercurey’s most historic and well-exposed premier cru sites. The warm and generous 2022 vintage brings a seductive purity of fruit: ripe cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry ripple from the glass, supported by subtle floral notes and a whisper of sweet spice. The château’s gentle extraction and carefully judged oak (around one-third new) give the wine its trademark balance—supple, elegant and finely structured.

On the palate, this is classic Mercurey 1er Cru with a modern touch: vibrant red fruit, silky tannins and a fresh mineral line that reflects the limestone-rich soils of Les Puillets. There’s just enough weight to make it immediately appealing, yet the poise and tension promise 8–10 years of graceful evolution. Versatile and refined, it’s a superb Pinot for roast poultry, duck breast, mushroom dishes or a simple but perfect charcuterie board.

Every wine in Mitchell & Son has been carefully selected, researched and taste tested by our team, so we stand behind each selection on our retail list. If you are not happy with a wine, a delivery, or any aspect of our service, please contact us and we will be only too happy to help you in any way we can.
