The cepage for the SP 68 Bianco is two obscure Sicilian varieties: Zibibbo (a regional name for Muscat of Alexandria) and Albanello.
The nose offers notes of white flowers, pink grapefruit, lychee, fresh oregano, and spice. It's a deeply aromatic wine that is surprisingly light on the palate (12% alcohol). There's some maceration on the skins, so you'll get a bit of tannin on the finish along with an intriguing olive-y note. A slow sipping meditation white, layer upon layer of flavour. A truly remarkable glass of white.
Every wine in Mitchell & Son has been carefully selected, researched and taste tested by our team, so we stand behind each selection on our retail list. If you are not happy with a wine, a delivery, or any aspect of our service, please contact us and we will be only too happy to help you in any way we can.
