A family-run estate based in Rioja Alavesa, where vineyards sit at altitude beneath the Sierra Cantabria mountains. This elevated position brings cooler conditions within a warm region, helping to preserve freshness and balance in the wines while allowing Tempranillo to ripen fully and evenly.

The approach at Aduna is rooted in tradition but guided by a modern understanding of precision and drinkability. Fruit is sourced from estate vineyards and handled with care in the winery, with oak ageing used to complement rather than dominate. Tempranillo (85%)

Tempranillo is also known as Ull de Llebre, Cencibel, Tinto Fino and Tinta del Pais in Spain, Aragonez, Aragonês or Tinta Roriz in Portugal, among several other synonyms. It is a black grape variety widely grown to make full-bodied red wines in the Iberian Peninsula.

Grenache/Garnacha (15%)

Garnacha, known as Grenache in France, is one of the world’s most widely planted red grapes, believed to originate from Aragón in northern Spain and thriving in hot, dry climates where it produces generous, fruit-driven wines. It is a cornerstone of regions such as Rioja, Navarra and Campo de Borja, as well as across southern France. Typically showing flavours of raspberry, cherry and plum with hints of white pepper and herbs, Garnacha wines are medium-bodied with soft tannins and a rounded texture, offering immediate appeal but also the ability to develop complexity and depth, particularly from old vines grown on poor, stony soils.
