A fresh and concentrated white made from a blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Viognier, sourced from old bush-vine vineyards around Wellington. The Chenin comes from decomposed granite and koffieklip soils on the Groenberg, supported by organically farmed Grenache Blanc and a small portion of Viognier.
Grapes were harvested at ideal ripeness, whole-bunch pressed and fermented naturally in a mix of concrete, amphora and older oak. The wine spent around ten months on lees before blending and bottling. Rich and powerful with flavours of candied citrus, apple and mango. A textured white with plenty of character and a lively finish.
