Bollinger Rosé NV

Bollinger Rosé is the most recent member of the Bollinger family. Bollinger Rosé is made by carefully blending red wine from Grand Cru vineyards in Ay and Verzenay. The result is a wine that is true to the bold Bollinger style, yet with fresh, red fruit notes. The seductive hints of strawberry provide a perfect contrast to the rich toasty elements.

"A very similar blend to the Special Cuvée, this includes just 6% red wine from the Côte aux Enfants in Aÿ. Creamy, steely red fruit scents display a mineral character supported by subtle woody depth. This is tight and fresh in the mouth, displaying pure red fruits, its oak backbone betrayed by notes of black pepper and its full texture." 91 points, Decanter

"Pale orangey-grey colour reminiscent of a vin gris. Really dense, mature nose that hints at oak ageing. Great spread across the palate with real extract and density. Not sure this is really an aperitif but more of a champagne to drink with shellfish. Lobster salad, anyone? Long, pretty dry (but certainly not bone-dry) finish. Intellectually stimulating." 17/20, Jancis Robinson, 29 January 2021

""One of the world's finest rosé Champagnes, this is rich and distinguished enough to go with a main course. Made with the addition of the best Grand Cru red wines from Ay and Verzenay, it is an intense, cherry-scented wine."" - Matthew Jukes93 points, Wine Spectator, December 2014
