Caiaffa Primitivo comes from the warm, sun-drenched vineyards of Puglia in southern Italy, where the Caiaffa family farm organically with a strong commitment to sustainability and biodiversity. Situated near Cerignola in northern Puglia, the estate has become known for producing expressive wines that capture the generous character of the region while maintaining freshness and balance. The Primitivo grape, one of Puglia’s most celebrated varieties, thrives in this Mediterranean climate, developing rich fruit flavours while retaining the structure that makes it such a satisfying food wine.

In the glass, Caiaffa Primitivo is deep ruby in colour with an inviting bouquet of ripe blackberries, plum compote and dark cherries, complemented by subtle hints of sweet spice, cocoa and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with generous dark fruit, soft tannins and a rounded, velvety texture leading to a warm, persistent finish. This is a wonderfully approachable red that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, slow-cooked ragù, roasted vegetables or hearty pasta dishes.
