Classic, structured and unmistakably Médoc in character, Château Patache d’Aux is a Cabernet Sauvignon led Bordeaux from vineyards around the village of Bégadan in the northern Médoc. Ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum are joined by cedar, tobacco, graphite and gentle spice, with oak maturation adding further depth and polish. The palate combines concentrated dark fruit with fresh acidity and firm, fine grained tannins, leading to a long, savoury finish. A traditional style of left bank Bordeaux that offers both immediate appeal and the structure to develop further in bottle. An excellent match for roast beef, lamb, duck, game or mature hard cheeses.

A historic Cru Bourgeois estate based in Bégadan. The unusual name is linked to the horse drawn stagecoaches, or pataches, once used in the Médoc, while the d’Aux family were associated with the property during the 17th century.
