Château Potensac is a distinguished Médoc estate that has been in the renowned Delon family since the 18th century. Situated on the gravelly-clay slopes of Ordonnac, just north of Saint-Estèphe, the vineyards extend over 80 hectares and benefit from limestone-rich subsoils and a high gravel content. The vines average around 38 years of age, with some parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc over 80 years old, lending depth and complexity to the wines.

Sharing the same meticulous philosophy as its sister estates Léoville-Las Cases and Château Nénin, Potensac combines traditional fermentation in oak vats with careful barrel aging, typically 14–16 months in French oak. The wines are known for their balance of power and finesse, showing freshness, structure, and a long-lived character.
