Colline de l'Hirondelle 'A La Volee'

Their first ephemeral blend capturing the vintage’s exceptional freshness.  This Mourvedre with a hint of Syrah is aromatic and surprising. Smooth and spontaneous the Mourvèdre shows its floral side with rose-petal and violet aromas balanced out with subtle notes of menthol and garrigue.

"Interesting that this is lower alcohol than most of their wines. Sure enough – pretty gamey, à la Mourvèdre, on the nose. Purely varietal with good distinction from this producer's (many) other wines. Very pure definition. Sweet, ripe fruit but fresher than many a red Bandol. Well done! Great juiciness with a backbone of tannin." 16.5/20, Jancis Robinson.
