Hand picked from the oldest and most exceptional casks, Connemara 12 Year Old Peated Single Malt marries distinctive peat flavour with a rich layer of spiciness and lingering wood tones that can only be achieved after 12 years in American Oak. A sophisticated expression truly worth the wait.

Nose: Expressive with a vibrant presence of malty and peaty smokiness.

Taste: Smooth, with a superb mix of fruit and peat.

Finish: Strong spice bite in the finish that dominates but doesn’t overwhelm the delicious creamy peatiness.

Old mash tuns and fermenters are still in their original positions and the new Kilbeggan malt spirit flows from ancient pot stills – one of which is over 186 years old. Kilbeggan is the quintessential Irish whiskey distillery, with whitewashed walls, weathered slate roof, brick chimney stack, creaking timber water wheel and even regular ghost sightings.
