Grgich Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

The Yountville vineyard forms the heart of this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Rutherford and Calistoga vineyards round out the blend. To boost complexity, Grgich relies on a traditional Bordeaux blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with a dash of Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Mike Grgich - who found fame as the wine maker for Chateau Montelena's winning Chardonnay from the Judgement in Paris tasting of 1976 - was awarded Outstanding Wine, Beer or Spirits Professional by the James Beard Foundation in 2018. He continues at the age of 95 to turn out vintage after vintage of the finest Napa Valley wines at his Grgich Hills estate in Rutherford.
