Inspired by Ireland’s oldest licensed distillery, Kilbeggan Black is traditionally double distilled, providing a rich character with a delicately smooth and smoky finish.

Nose: Subtle sweetness ripe apples and pears followed by peach and butterscotch. Hint of peat adding a little depth.

Taste: Mellow with notes of green fruits and cereals developing into a hit of peat smoke.

Finish: Lingering with subtle peat smoke and spices.

Old mash tuns and fermenters are still in their original positions and the new Kilbeggan malt spirit flows from ancient pot stills – one of which is over 186 years old. Kilbeggan is the quintessential Irish whiskey distillery, with whitewashed walls, weathered slate roof, brick chimney stack, creaking timber water wheel and even regular ghost sightings.
