“Kriya” Pecorino from Vignamadre highlights one of Abruzzo’s most distinctive and characterful native white grape varieties. Pecorino, once nearly forgotten, has enjoyed a remarkable revival in recent decades thanks to its naturally high acidity and ability to produce wines of both freshness and depth. Grown in the rolling hills of Abruzzo, where vineyards benefit from warm Mediterranean sunshine balanced by cooling Adriatic and mountain breezes, the grapes ripen beautifully while retaining their vibrant structure.

Bright straw in colour, the wine offers inviting aromas of citrus, ripe pear and white peach, alongside subtle floral notes and a hint of wild herbs. The palate is fresh and lively, with crisp acidity supporting flavours of orchard fruit, lemon zest and a gentle mineral character on the finish. Elegant yet expressive, “Kriya” Pecorino pairs wonderfully with seafood, grilled prawns, light pasta dishes, fresh cheeses and Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
