The Lucchetti family estate lies in the rolling hills of Italy’s Marche region, not far from the Adriatic coast, where they produce wines that celebrate the distinctive native varieties of the area. ‘Fiore’ is made from the rare and characterful Lacrima grape, grown around the small DOC zone of Morro d’Alba. The variety takes its name from the Italian word for “tear,” referring to the delicate droplets that form on the grape skins as they ripen. Lacrima is renowned for its intensely aromatic style, offering a wonderfully perfumed and expressive alternative to more familiar Italian reds.

In the glass, ‘Fiore’ shows a vibrant ruby colour with lifted aromas of rose petals, violets and wild strawberries, alongside notes of raspberry and a touch of spice. The palate is soft and supple, with juicy red berry fruit, gentle tannins and a fresh, lively finish that makes it both elegant and easy to enjoy. Lightly chilled, it works beautifully with charcuterie, grilled sausages, tomato-based pasta dishes or simple roasted meats, showcasing the charm and individuality of this unique Marche specialty.
