Often called the Garden of France, the Loire Valley runs along the Loire river from the atlantic coastal region of Muscadet inland toward Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. The lure of the Loire is it’s iconic white wines, most notably from Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, but there are some racy reds from Cabernet Franc to be found, particularly around Chinon, and don't forget the delightful rosé wines of Anjou.
