Typically showing flavours of lime, lemon, peach and apricot alongside floral and mineral notes, it produces wines with greater concentration and texture than many traditional Vinho Verde styles. The grape is particularly renowned in northern Portugal, where the Atlantic-influenced climate helps retain its distinctive freshness.

Vinho Verde - lies in the lush, green landscape of north-western Portugal. Influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean, its relatively cool and wet climate produces white wines renowned for their freshness, aromatic character and lively acidity. While traditionally associated with light, youthful wines, the region also produces increasingly serious and complex whites, particularly from premium varieties such as Alvarinho.
