Made in a ripe and generous style with elegance and spicy varietal characteristics, typical of this cool climate region.
Deep purple core with vibrant crimson hues. On the nose you are welcomed with dark, rich berry fruits. Hints of spice and some savoury, peppery notes. Upon tasting there is excellent depth and structure with lush notes of plums, red berry fruits and a hint of spice. Fruity, fresh and vibrant, medium bodied, with silky tannins that lead to a long, moreish finish.
"Super reliable as ever with a fancy new label. A great drink to rip into right now to embrace the freshness. It's like a Cherry Ripe in a glass. Rich red berries and dark cherries muse with dark chocolate. Medium bodied, lashings of red plums and soft peppery spices sprinkled atop add further pleasure and linger beautifully. It saw 8 months in second use French oak, and as with the Coonawarra Series tradition, now to the medium term is when it will shine best. A big thumbs up from me!" 91 points, Steve leszczynski, Q Wine Reviews, February 2020
