'Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Redbreast has a legacy that spans over a century, reflecting the artistry and expertise passed down through generations of master distillers. Each sip of Redbreast is a journey through time and a celebration of Ireland’s whiskey-making legacy.'

The 2nd expression from the Redbreast Iberian Series.

Tawny Port Edition 46% represents a small batch Redbreast aged between 8-10 years that has been recasked and finished  in a collection of sublime Tawny Port Hogsheads.

On the nose, warming notes of buttery pastry, caramelised almonds, praline, dried cherry. Pot still spices combine with whisperings of honey and delicate herbs from the seasoned oak casks. On the palate, rich and nutty at first with a touch of hazelnut and salted caramel. Fresh plums and dried figs. The tannins soft  presence leads to a lingering finish  which sees the pot still spices and fruits evolving towards a creamy texture and Tawny seasoned oak.

With a distilling history dating back to the 19th century, Midleton’s renowned bounty has been said to have drawn whiskey into being.

From its beginnings on the banks of the crystalline Dungourney River, Midleton Distillery’s links with the land run deep and long.

Of course whiskey is also the lifeblood of a people and their aspirations. And this town has always been a pioneering community, from the moment the Murphy family started to distil here in 1825.
