Aromatic, exotic and richly textured, Gewurztraminer Vieilles Vignes 2018 from Sipp Mack is a beautifully expressive Alsatian white made from old vines. Intense notes of lychee, rose petal and ripe stone fruit are layered with hints of spice and ginger, leading into a full bodied palate with generous texture balanced by fresh acidity. Opulent yet poised, it pairs beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine, rich pâtés, washed-rind cheeses or aromatic dishes.

A rich, aromatic Alsace white: floral, exotic and full bodied. Ideal for lovers of intensely perfumed wines or spicy cuisine.

Jacques Sipp and his wife Laura run this domaine bequeathed through 9 generations since 1698. The vineyards cover approximately 22 hectares located within 4km of the winery in Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé and Bergheim. The terroirs are varied but essentially calcareous clay. All harvesting is by hand.

After years of certified sustainable farming and integrated pest management, the Sipps converted the entire domaine to certified organic farming and have been certified since 2013.

Gewurztraminer is one of the world’s most distinctive aromatic grape varieties, known for its intense floral perfume and exotic fruit character. Typically showing flavours of lychee, rose petal, peach and spice, it produces richly textured wines with moderate acidity and a broad, expressive palate.
