Like other releases in the Explorers Edition by Teeling, this whiskey embraces a nation's character and personality by using unique casks to perfectly capture their natural identity. For this release, Teeling selected a whiskey previously aged in bourbon barrels, before giving it a finish for four years in hand-selected casks that previously were used to mature Mugi Shochu.This extra special finish imparts wonderfully enticing notes of lychee and passionfruit to an already stellar Irish whiskey.
