This completely unique cask fermented 'Macharnudo' is pale yellow in colour with green hints. On the nose it has delicate lime, white fruit and mineral touches in the background. The palate has a delicate, round oiliness with a dry and crisp finish. It shows the character of Macharnudo at its best. This wine is everything that we love about Valdespino sherries in a single glass and truly is something special.

Palomino (100%)

Palomino Fino is a white grape variety widely cultivated in Spain. It is the principal grape used in the production of sherry, a fortified wine from the Jerez region of Spain. It thrives in the albariza soil of Andalusia, producing a wine that is low in acidity and sugar, ideal for the unique sherry-making process. Its susceptibility to oxidation is a trait that is actually beneficial for sherry production as it leads to the desired unique flavors. Flor yeast is essential in this process, forming a layer on top of the wine that protects it from oxidation and imparts distinctive flavours. This aging under flor contributes to the dry, complex profile of sherries, distinguishing them from other wines.

Jerez

Jerez wine region is a part of Sherry Triangle, a triangular land mass formed by the towns of Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and El Puerto de Santa María. The region is in the southern part of Spain close to the Atlantic Ocean in the Andalusia wine region.
