'Wine Geese' is the endearing term given to the Irish who smuggled themselves into Europe after the Battle of the Boyne and went on to successful careers in European viticulture. Among these are wines from Chateau Lynch Bages, Chateau Clarke and Chateau Leoville Barton.
Today it encompasses the substantial Irish emigrant population involved with the wine trade globally including Roisin Curley and Domaine la Sarabande.
